Travel information:
Hornby is about 9 miles from Lancaster on the A683 road to Kirkby Lonsdale.
The Village Institute has a car park just across the road (£2 per day – honesty box) or there is roadside parking available along the village street.
For anyone coming by public transport, bus numbers 81 and 82 leave Lancaster Bus station which is about a 10-minute walk from Lancaster Railway Station. In the
morning there is a bus that arrives opposite the Hornby Village Institute at 10.10 (leaves Lancaster Bus Station at 09.35) and another that arrives at 11.10 (leaving
Lancaster at 10.35). For the return leg there is a bus leaving the Institute at 15.50 (arriving Lancaster Bus Statin at 16.22) and another leaving at 16.50 (arriving in
Lancaster at 17.22)

Catering:
Basic coffee and tea (including decaff) will be available but if you have any particular beverage requirements then bring your supplies – a kitchen is available for our use.
You can either bring your own lunch to eat in the meeting room or you can buy soup, hot pasties and pies, sandwiches and cakes from the village shop (just across the
road) or go for light meals at the Hornby Post Office Tea Rooms (50 yards away), or bar snacks at The Royal Oak pub (a 7-minute walk away).
If anyone wishes to stretch their legs at lunchtime there is a pleasant riverside walk that starts just across the road from the Institute.
