IAGMs are held annually, usually between May and August. Minimum requirements for an IAGM were agreed by the Board in March 2025 and include:
The event should last a minimum of one day to include the IAGM, the members’ forum and a Board meeting
The meeting should include onsite junior activities, suitable for all ages of juniors
There should be opportunities for socialising e.g. evening meal, the Dick Callum Cup
Refreshments should be included but does not have to extend to meals
Accommodation does not have to be included but a range of venues from campsites to hotels should be available locally and information provided with the meeting papers.
The sequence of IAGM hosts has rearranged to prevent the bunching of southern and northern venues. Dates and venues for national events should be checked with Regional Secretaries to prevent clashes.
