Amazon Publications

TARS may very well be unique among literary societies in having its own publishing arm. For the last three decades Amazon Publications (a non-profit venture) have published works written by Tars, thus enhancing the understanding of Arthur Ransome, his life and his works. These books are not available commercially to the general public. They are written solely for TARS members. Amazon Publications enjoys special privileges from the Arthur Ransome Literary Estate and is able to publish copyright material for the exclusive benefit of members. Amazon Publications produce books that can only be sold to TARS members, and print according to subscription. Many of the books are available from the TARS Stall

Amazon Publications fall into three groups:

1. Reprinting AR’s early work
2. Aspects of his life
3. Literary consideration of his work
