This Grade 11* listed woollen textile mill is one of the oldest in the world and has been in continuous production since 1797. The 12 acre site has 10 acres of wetland with wildlife and millponds. There is a museum, cafe and shop, boilers, steam engines, and working and static exhibits. We are visiting on one of their Thursday production days.

Our annual Bring and Scoff is always enjoyable as we get together to share food, read our favourite passages from a book by or about Arthur Ransome and have fun with an activity. This year we are going to have a go at designing our own coat of arms, like Peter Duck had on his kitbag.
