Where is the latest Amazon Publication (book)?
Where is the latest Amazon Publication (book)?
If there's a place on this website (the whole site, not just the forums) where it's possible to see what the latest Amazon publication is -- name, price, description--, I'm not girl enough to find it! Is there a reason for this? The publications are so lovely, I'd think having a sidebar with the name and description of the current one would attract members, and save members (well, me anyway) from the long hunt for the latest Signals (or other journal) which may well have been lent in hope of attracting a member anyway.

Molly -
your posting reminded me to send off the little green form that came in the last issue of Signals to purchase in advance a copy of the next Amazon Publication (there's also a piece on the back cover, middle right).
It's going to be by Robert Thompson, entitled "Ransome's Foreign Legions", and is about foreign language editions of the books. I have seen Robert's proofs of this, and I have to say it is wonderfully enticing. We are used to certain scenes being illustrated by AR (and a few different ones in SA and SD by Clifford Webb), but Robert draws on illustrations from editions from many countries to give many new pespectives on the narrative.
You can pre-order from Alan Hakim, 7 Elm Road, Havant PO9 2SZ, for £16 including p&p. It promises to be well worth it!
I'd agree with your general point that an Amazon Publications page on the website would be a useful addition.

In fact there is a page if you click on the link, But it does not show the latest or forthcoming publications.
Maybe Alan Harkin could remedy this.
Also the 2009 edition could be posted as a news item.
