I went to the exhibition at Brantwood last week, and I gained the impression that we might have been the first TARS members to visit, as the person at the desk had not heard about the discount for TARS members and hadn't seen a TARS membership card before! (We didn't push for the discount, which is only 50 pence per member, anyway). It was a privilege to see Ransome's original drawings and to compare them with those of the 'real' artists. The exhibition is on until 4th September, so do go if you have the chance.

Many thanks for the feedback. We did show a TARS membership card to some of the staff there when discussing the discount arrangements, but it's possible the person on the desk last week wasn't one of them. Anyway, we're back over there tomorrow for Christina Hardyment's talk (the first of several) so I'll double check that the people at Brantwood are still OK with the discount for TARS members.
In the meantime, I'm glad you enjoyed the exhibition.
