Tarboard

It looks like Tarboard has struck Pike Rock and sunk!  I haven't been able to get on board today.  Has anyone else had any difficulty in 'boarding' her?

Likewise, maybe she encountered a water spout, or a hawk got the pigeons.

Must be some technical glitch, or they have not put a shilling in the meter.

Aye. She's been taken aback on a lee shore, for sure.

The ISP's server on which TarBoard is hosted has been attacked by a defacer. About 300 sites have been defaced (in this case the home pages have been replaced with an uplifting quote from the "founder" of Turkey - Kemal Ataturk!). At the moment, the ISP expects it to take all weekend to load their backup and fix the hole which the attacker used to gain access.

Sorry to hear that Woll, and I hope that it isn't causing you too much hassle this weekend.

I remember reading a biography of Kemel Ataturk many years ago. An interesting character, although not one I'd ever thought I'd come across on an AR discussion forum. Perhaps we ought to run a competition to find a link between the two? (I guess the Altounyans and AR's visit to see them in Aleppo might come into that somewhere).

That's rather a good link, Geraint!  Ataturk famously delivered speeches in the square in Aleppo (from the balcony of a fashionable hotel Ransome is sure to have visited), close by the Altounyan hospital!
