I live near Norwich but was born in Littlehampton, where the Nancy Blackett was built. I remember playing at Hillyards boatyard as a child. I learnt to sail by reading the Swallows and Amazons books. having read them all a couple of times I was put in a Mirror Dinghy and pushed off, single handed. Well I managed to sail without capsizing and brought her back safely. A tribute to the quality of ARs writing. I currently sail a minisail single hander on the Norfolk Broads.
