TARSUS Co-ordinator Takes Well-earned Retirement
Dave Thewlis, the long-standing co-ordinator of TARS activities in the United States, handed on his baton at the start of this month.
Dave is well known to many TARS members, both in the USA and across the world, although given the huge distances in the USA, he has rarely had the pleasure of meeting any of them face-to-face.
Dave's twelve or so years of service has covered all of the myriad roles involved in administering the Society's affairs in the USA - everything from membership enrolment to organising the distribution of Society publications, to the editing of the Society's US newsletter, Signals from TARSUS, and more besides. In his time at the helm, the Society's membership in the USA has first grown, and then been maintained, at well over 100.
In addition to his work within the USA, Dave has been a steady support to the Society's officiers in the UK, always ready to offer wise, experienced and well-considered advice on the Society's future course. His retirement is certainly deserved!
Dave's replacement is Robin Marshall. You can check contact details for Robin at the TARSUS pages on this website.
